We feel that the time is right to develop a course on Children’s Participation in Health.
Allowing anyone in the world to access our training tools and methods digitally.
Background
Since Children for Health was established in 2013 we have conducted many Master Training and Teacher Training events in Mozambique, Nigeria and India. We have been asked to run many more! Over the next year, we will be training in Botswana, Mozambique and Malawi.
In addition to this face-to-face work we have been involved in mentoring other trainers. They have conducted work in Sierra Leone and Nigeria so far. Our training tools and methods build upon the work of Clare Hanbury. She has conducted training in countries all over the world during the course of her 30 year career. Additionally, Clare has developed many very well-regarded teacher training manuals and guides. The UN, governments and international agencies such as Save the Children and The Jacobs Foundation have used these so far.
Objective
To build the capacity and scalability of the Children for Health approach in Children’s Participation in Health (CPH) for interested partner organisations globally. By taking the best practices and learning from our training courses and materials to produce a suite of easily accessible and downloadable courses and materials. Giving us the widest possible reach.
The course will be developed in English, but there will be scope for translating the course into additional languages.
Target Audience
Any organisation that has (or is planning to create) a child- and adolescent-focussed health education programme. For example: project managers, trainers and teachers linked to government departments (e.g. Ministry of Education/Health), institutions and other NGOs (e.g. UN/WHO).
A detailed budget and plan is available on request or e-mail clare@childrenforhealth.org.
