Every meaningful partnership begins with listening.
We’re pleased to share the first milestone from our Children as Health Champions: A Five-Country Network for Action and Learning in Kenya.
Together with schools across Nairobi and its surrounding areas, we’ve laid the foundations for strengthening child health literacy and agency by building relationships, understanding local needs and creating a shared vision for healthier schools and communities.
Thank you to our Local Implementation Partner, Stowelink Foundation, and to the school leaders who have embraced this journey with us.

These insights will help shape implementation and ensure the initiative responds to the needs and priorities of participating schools.
The recruitment of ten schools marks the first step in building a network of learning environments where children can develop the knowledge, confidence and agency to become health champions.
As implementation begins, Children for Health will continue working alongside schools and partners to strengthen child health literacy and support children as active participants in improving health within their schools, families and communities.
Together we are building:
When children are empowered with knowledge and agency, they don’t just improve their own health – they help create healthier futures for everyone.
Empowering children with health literacy and agency to create healthier schools, families and communities.
