Children as Health Champions

Children as Health Champions: A Five Country Network for Action and Learning.

This initiative brings together our national partners in Africa to strengthen child centred approaches to public health.

Working through schools, the programme will reach 50 schools and approximately 30,000 children, supporting them to become active participants in sharing essential health knowledge within their families and communities.

At its core, this work explores a simple but powerful idea: when children are equipped with relevant, practical health knowledge, they do not just learn, they influence behaviours, practices, and outcomes around them.

Alongside implementation, we are working closely with local partners and engaging with Ministries of Education and Health to explore pathways for sustainable integration and national scale.

This is both an implementation effort and a learning process, and we look forward to sharing insights as the work progresses across contexts.
