World Malaria Day 2026

On this World Malaria Day 2026, we reflect on both progress and the work still ahead.

Malaria is preventable and treatable, yet continues to affect millions worldwide.

Global efforts have averted billions of cases and millions of deaths. And still, in 2024 alone, there were an estimated 282 million cases and 610,000 deaths.

At Children for Health, our work focuses on strengthening child health literacy and agency, supporting children to understand, share, and act on health information within their families and communities.

When children learn, they don’t stop at awareness. They influence behaviours. They support prevention where it matters most.

Our malaria education tools were accessed across 60 countries, with over 1,200 uses in 2025.

Children have the power to make a change.
