International Day of Charity 2026

International Day of Charity is an opportunity to celebrate the organisations, communities, volunteers, partners and supporters around the world working every day to create positive change.

At Children for Health, it is also a moment to reflect on how we contribute to that shared effort. Our approach is to keep as much of the work as possible close to the communities where it matters. We work alongside local NGOs, schools, communities and experts, drawing on local knowledge and strengthening capacity rather than creating parallel systems.

Importantly, children themselves help us develop, adapt and test health education tools. Their participation helps us understand whether health messages are relevant, culturally appropriate and understood in the way they are intended.

By working this way, we aim to strengthen local ownership and capacity that can continue beyond an individual project, while also learning from every community we work with and using our resources responsibly.

On International Day of Charity, we celebrate what becomes possible when people bring their knowledge, experience and commitment together for a shared purpose.

Because lasting impact is not only about what we deliver today, but what we help build for tomorrow.
