When I started Children for Health, it wasn’t just about creating health education messages and materials — it was about trusting children. From my years as a middle school teacher and my work with Child to Child, I knew something that still guides everything we do: children are capable, resourceful, and full of ideas. If we give them accurate, clear information in ways they can understand, they don’t just absorb it — they question it, test it, adapt it, and share it. And in doing so, they become agents of health in their own homes, schools, and communities.
Over the years, we’ve developed posters, storybooks, and training programmes that help children learn essential health messages in practical, memorable ways. But the real magic happens when children engage with the content themselves — reviewing it, suggesting improvements, and seeing how it applies to their own lives. That process has taught me so much about learning, communication, and the creativity children bring when we give them the chance to lead.
Now, Children for Health is ready to take the next step. The world is changing rapidly – digital platforms, social media, and the fundraising landscape all demand new skills and approaches. To grow our global reach, build new partnerships, and inspire more schools and communities to adopt our approach, we need a new leader who can guide Children for Health into this new phase. Someone with fresh ideas, strategic vision, and experience navigating today’s evolving digital and funding environment.
I will continue to support the organisation on health education, project design, and mentoring, but the next chapter of leadership needs someone ready to take the helm, to scale our work, and to ensure more children worldwide can benefit from trustworthy, practical health information.
If you are passionate about children’s health, inspired by their resourcefulness, and experienced in leading organisations through change, we would love to hear from you. Full details and how to apply are here: https://childrenforhealth.org/clone/jobs/.
