Making Children the Change Agents

Children are great ‘change agents both at home and in the community’ say the Red Cross & Red Crescent who believe that if we target the children, they will, in turn, bring change in the family and thereby the entire community.

Here is a short and very nice video featuring Thelma Tazviwana, a member of the Health Club in Dotito Primary School, Mount Darwin, Zimbabwe.

Health clubs train school children in hygiene and sanitation and enhance their involvement as change agents in their respective households and communities. Access to safe water and sanitation, combined with improved hygiene awareness and practices are crucial to strengthening community health, resilience, and preserving human dignity.
